Trajectories of the Dutch floats that were launched in 2010 in the Southern Atlantic Ocean
Image: KNMI
Launched into the Antarctic Circumpolar Current (ACC), the floats travel eastward. One interesting exception is the northernmost float (6900746). It is not in the ACC, but nevertheless manages to reach the Indian Ocean. It does so by traveling against the Agulhas Current!
A click on the float number brings you to an (external) page with up-to-date information about the float, including a visualization of the measurements.
