Trajectories of the Dutch Argo floats that were launched in 2011 in the Irminger Sea.

Launched in the Irminger Sea, the floats tend to stay in the area. Once they are caught by the strong current that flows around the subpolar ocean, they travel along the southern part of Greenland and around the Labrador Sea, until they are discharged into the North Atlantic Ocean. Unfortunately, only one of them made it so far.
